The following are not permitted:
- Hats, caps, skull caps, bandanas, or head coverings unless approved for religious or medical purposes
- Tank tops, muscle shirts, spaghetti straps, undershirts worn as outerwear, or see-through clothing
- Tight-fitting tops or bottoms
- Clothing displaying profanity, obscenities, sexual content, alcohol, tobacco, drug-related messages, or offensive language
- Gang-related attire or symbols
- Sagging pants or clothing that exposes undergarments or the midriff
- Jewelry shaped like weapons
Footwear
For safety reasons, students should wear shoes appropriate for school activities. The following are strongly discouraged:
- High heels
- Backless shoes
- Roller-skate shoes (Heelys)
- Other footwear that may create safety concerns during recess or physical activity
Students may bring a change of shoes for recess or physical education activities if necessary.
